3 Easy to Prepare Team Building Games with No Materials Needed

The game ideas below are suitable for casual team building activities that you can play with your team mates anywhere, anytime!
 
Alphabet Sequential Game

1. First, sit the participants down in a circle.
   
2. The game will start with one person choosing a generic theme. For example, the theme could be ‘food’, ‘movies’, ‘occupation’ and etc.
   
3. The person who gave the theme will start the game and name a word starting with the letter ‘A’ in relation the theme. For example, if the theme is food, the words that could be mentioned would be ‘Apple’, ‘Avocado’, ‘Aloe Vera’ etc.
   
4. The next person will follow up with a word also starting with ‘A’ but different from what has been mentioned before. 
5. Each person will be given 5 seconds to think and the round will end when one participant in the group made a mistake or could not come up with a name in time.
   
6. Once the first game round ends, the Alphabet will change to ‘B’. The theme could change or remain the same. The person who made the mistake the previous round will now be the person who name the theme of the game and start the game with a word. 
7. This game can carry on till the game reaches ‘Z’ or end it after several rounds.

Duration: 5 - 10mins
 
Charades

1. Spilt the team evenly into groups (there must be at least 2 people in each group). The game organizer will be the allocating the points to all the groups and coming up with words on the spot for each presenter of the group to act out. Example of words could be ‘joy’, ‘sadness’, ‘boss’, ‘plant’, ‘baby’, ‘teacher’, etc.
2. The game can start with group 1. The first group will select a person to go up front to present and act out the word they will be guessing, without speaking. 
3. If the group members could not guess the word within 1 min, the guessing rights will be thrown to the floor, allowing the other groups to gain points by guessing the correct word.
4. After the group 1 has done with the first word, sequentially, group 2 will start the next round. The same set of game rules apply to every group. 
5. The game will end after several full rounds are completed where the winner goes to the group with the highest number of points.

Duration: 20 mins
 
Imagery Touch

 

1. Line up your team with in a straight row of 5 to 10 people, with the person in front having their backs facing the person behind. If there are more participants you can split them up evenly.
   
2. The last person, (the person at the end of line who is facing the back of the person in front) will be the person receiving a simple word quietly from the game organizer. Word examples could be ‘apple’, ‘leaf’, ‘tree’, ‘cat’, ‘turtle’, ‘lady’, ‘man’, etc. 
3. After knowing the word, the last person will return to his original position in line and starts to draw the word on the back of the person in front of him/her using his finger as best to his abilities as possible.
   
4. The second last person cannot turn around, and only by feeling the how the image is drawn, will now draw the image he/she has interpreted by touch to the next person in front of him, using the same method of drawing using his fingers. 
5. This action of drawing using your finger will continue till it reaches the very first person at the front of the line. The first person will have to guess the word issued by the game organizer through the interpretation of the drawing.
