Aromatheraphy and Chakras
Ancient Indian wisdom tells us that Chakras are energy centres within the human body that help to regulate all its processes, emotions, organ functions and immune system. People who practice meditation and mindfulness will be more aware of their body and its chakra locations. With practice, they achieve balance in all areas of their life through balancing of chakras. Seven brain molecules that make you feel greatOur evolutionary biology ensured that everything necessary for our survival makes us feel good. Nature made sure that the life in the human body is designed to be a blissful experience.
Like all other animals, humans also seek pleasure and avoid pain. Therefore, our brain has self-produced neurochemicals that rewards us with pleasure and make us feel happy when we achieve our goals. This biological design is generous, but in today’s digital age it lays dormant sometimes. That’s because we are increasingly removed from our physicality and each other. Our biology is short-circuiting. The balance of neurochemicals that evolved for millennia has been disrupted by our modern lives, making us more prone to depression and anxiety. Pharmaceutical companies are eager to readjust this imbalance with a pill but we have the power to make ourselves happier by changing our lifestyle choices. Simple lifestyle choices and behavioural changes can improve our brain chemistry, make us feel better, and motivate us to maximize your human potential. Our body produces hundreds of neurochemicals. Only a small fraction of these have been identified by scientists. We will not know in our lifetime exactly how all of these molecules work. But here’s what we know about the Neurochemicals of Happiness Let’s start with DOSE (Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphin) Understanding happiness with the happiness Hormones: Dopamine, Serotonin, Endorphins and Oxytocin5/5/2020
Have you seen rich but unhappy people? Have you come across those entitled, arrogant people with constant frown on their face? Ever wondered why money, power, fame etc cannot buy us happiness?
That’s because happiness comes from inside. It’s our reaction to outside stimulus, which is dictated by our own hormones. Many events can trigger these neurotransmitters, but rather than being in the passenger seat, there are ways we can intentionally cause them to flow. There are few, about 6-7 neurochemicals responsible for our happiness. Today we will talk about 4 important hormones- Dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and endorphins, which are the key-quartet responsible for our happiness. “We’re going to do some team building!” and employees start re-running ‘The Office’ in their mind!
Team building has a bad rap. But effective team building can build trust, mitigate conflict, encourage communication, and increase collaboration. Effective team building also means more engaged & happy employees, which is good for company culture. |
